Rothbury postponed, cancelled, whatever

So I posted a rant yesterday on my FB that I dreaded this summer because one of the things I can look forward to is the mouth-breathing tweakers being brought in by the tow-trucks and inhabiting our hotel. And seriously, walking around with their mouths open because they killed the last neuron of their "maintaining" parasympathetic nervous system that sez "hey", "keep your mouth closed when you are walking around". One of the hotel's regulars came in and said they were killing each other in the parking lot. Had one guy by the throat. The mouth-breather. Anyway if people want to drive around the country following their favorite band, that's their thing. Walking around stupid looking and strangling the guy they rode in with, Jerry Garcia would not be pleased.

Anyway I found out Rothbury is "postponed". Can't be happier. FB post erased.

I'm back at it...

I put the blogger away for a few years.
Now my divorce is Tuesday, I got lots to say.

Sharkie July 11, 1994 - April 29, 2007

Sharkie died at home a couple Sundays ago.
I had him cremated.

My mom, husband, and myself are devastated. He was such a big presence in our lives.


I tried to update here right after it happened, but Blogger was giving me fits with it's Google change and password stuff.

Ugh. A little maddening. I haven't been able to access my own homepage where I can change the settings and add stuff for a few days now!

In creative news I've made my own Fimo cane of a sun face. It's pretty crude, but I'm happy with it. So now I'm making an incense burner with all these goofy distorted faces on it.

Spring Cleaning

People told me going to Florida will change my outlook on everything. Damn straight it did. Living in a trailer, you have to keep everything off the counter or bugs will come. There was room to do that because there was storage for what we needed. I came home, and I'm embarassed how I live, with too much crap everywhere. I have too much junk on all horizontal places to keep this place tidy. Time to start haulin' crap to the curb, donating what I don't use. Even though I live in a small house, it's too big for me to take care of. I think I'd be okay living in a trailer. Anyway I'm tired of being embarassed of having people over, so it time to start washing walls and cleaning floors!

It's officially Spring

People, go outside at dusk, listen to the peepin' frogs, stretch your arms to the sky, and be thankful we survived another winter.

It's time for bonfires, friends, and conversation into the wee hours.

quick update

Yep, been a long time since I posted. Maybe you saw the photos. I went to Florida. Visited my dad at my parent's trailer in the po-dunk town of Haines City. On the weekend I went to see my friend Karry and we went slumming around Bike Week in Daytona. I had so much fun, it did my soul some good to get out of the house, get away from work, and get some sunshine on my lily-white ass.
I'll post more pics when I get some time, I'm catching up on laundries today.
