"Kitty, Show Me Your Clavacles"

I overhead a coversation in the lobby at work. A couple of people were discussing how cats can get into small spaces: they have no clavacles. So I'm at home and Kitty is just sitting there. "Kitty, show me your clavacles." Husband is watching, and I explain to him that cats can get into small spaces because they have none. "Well that's one smart kitty then, cuz he didn't show you SHIT, did he?".

Yeah, well, you know

Work isn't getting better, but it's not any worse either. I just keep shaking my head, I don't know what to think any more. I have more debt now than I had working at the copycenter, with the furnace payment. But I have more money in the bank. I was making a hell of a lot more money there too. I just picked up a lot of bad habits there, trolling on eBay all day. The norm was to have a $250 credit card bill a month. Now it's maybe $40. Soooo....I mouthed off and lost probably the most easiest, best paying job, and didn't have to work weekends.....but I'm better off? Double HUH?!? Anyway my year getting fired from there anniversary is coming up, and I'm celebrating with buying a bunch of crafty stuff. I might even take my car and get it detailed. I'm not dwelling, nooooooo.

I went to the store a couple days ago to get stuff to make for dinner, and breakfast stuff. I had my heart set on peanut-butter Cap N Crunch, and I was going to mix it with the Extra Chocolatey Cocoa Puffs. I grabbed the regular stuff. People, it's not the same.

On a happy note, I got a pretty nice tip at work last night, and a box of chocolates a few nights before. My boss helped herself to my chocolates and ate all the nut ones. grrr.

aw hell

Didn't get the job.

After tonight, I will definately keep looking.
It just pisses my off how understaffed we are, and it's intentional.
They pat themselves on the back with all the money they are saving.

Job interview this morning!

My resume was found on one of the local job-posting sites, and I was called. It's for a heating and plumbing service. They are setting up a new location and need a couple bodies in there to answer the phone and answer walk-in questions. At first I turned it down, then I called back after looking at this week's work schedule: 3-11, 5-11, 6-11, etc. This job is regular hours and no weekends. So I was sold on that. The interview was mostly telling me about the company and what was the plans with the new location. I will know something by Friday.

Tribute

My friend Lori died last night.
She was diagnosed with cancer around November.
She died in her sleep.
It hasn't hit me yet.
Maybe because I've seen how bad she was, and this is just a relief to see she does not suffer anymore.

Looking to start on my 4th W2 this year

Building owners came through during the day that I went in later. Apparantly they are giving the boss whatever she wants to make improvements to the building, which is good. Meaning they are not going to put the building up for sale in the immediate future. So while she's busy patting herself on the back, she once again decided to not let night auditor come back until she talks to Fat Bastard boss manager. I don't know why this hasn't taken place yet, she talks to him daily on the phone. The girl that usually comes in after me asked if he was coming back, and boss bitch said she didn't think so. Pretty much every will look for other work and if they find it, they will leave. Up until now the only feedback from anybody about how we were doing or that anyone gave a shit about us was from night manager. Only feedback from boss bitch is what we are screwing up.

Like I said before, I have my job duties and my little checklist of side crap I gotta do. I just stay focused on that, I seem to walk out unscathed by the crap.

In other non-work news, I got my yearly flower-pots-on-the-porch display planted, now I'm just waiting for them to "pop". They still got that "just planted" look.
I'm going to border our yard with butterfly bushes to make a barrier so the people at the nearby corner don't look directly into our back yard. Pictures will be coming soon.

In husband news, I thought he was dead last night. I came home late last night, the garage was open and he was not in it, this is strange. House was open, this is strange. TV was on, and he was not in front of it, this was strange. At some point he came in and passed out across the bed. He did take his glasses off. There was some blood across the floor in the bathroom, and being married to this guy, this is not strange at all. So when I woke him up turning the bedroom light on trying to take his picture with his own camera phone, he took his socks off. One of his toes look like it exploded on the end, all dried-bloody and nasty. He didn't even knew he did it. This people, sadly,is not strange here either.

Happy 6-6-06!

Nothing much happened today other than getting STOOD UP for lunch. I tried calling last night and I couldn't get a hold of the person, so oh well. I'll give her hell later. The little neighborhood grocery store closed and moved to a new location, so I went to do my shopping there to see what it was all about. A lot of people milling around, not really shopping. It's food people, buy some. So other than people getting in my way, it was very nice, but I still ended up going to my usual grocery store after. Did you know they make coconut flavored CoffeeMate? I felt like treating myself, along with some eye makeup and some dress sandals. They look cool, but I've never worn anything like them, and I have a hard time keeping them on my feet and walking. So my toes scrunch up when I walk. Not too flattering looking, but they look nice when I'm standing still or sitting.
Looks like not too much housework is getting done today...

Phone Unplugged!

Tomorrow is my day off. I'm not answering any calls from work. Screw them! It's been a week since I had a day off. Anyway I have nothing special planned other to catch up on some much needed shopping and housework. The sink is starting to smell funny.
We got some good news at work today. Night manager is coming back, and everyone is happy. And...he's not gay. Who knew? Everyone. I still find it hard to believe, ya know, walks like a duck... I guess I shouldn't have told him he looked hot now is head was shaved!

Not liking work much

Another whine fest ahead.

The night manager has been picking up any slack not picked up by the manager/my boss who should be taking care of this stuff. He makes sure everyone knows what they are doing, has supplies to do the job, encourages us to call him at home if something comes up. I really liked him. And he's gay, so get yer minds out of the gutter here. He's been calling Corporate because he's sick of how the other manager's running the place. He was joking with another manager he should put his two week's in. Boss walked into the conversation, turned right around and called Corporate Boss that he was quitting. So this ensued a few day's worth of adults acting like children, and night manager quit. So once again, she's making a point that she can do every job in the place, and is working night shift, so everyone else is picking up her day hours. Yes, overtime, and getting screwed out of scheduled days off. I'm not a happy camper, and today I growled at the boss.

Tonight we had a little fire and Dairy Queen. That sweetening things up a bit.
