Happy New Year and all that crap

Nothing new, nothing's changed. I didn't bother making any resolutions. I had today off, Tuesdays usually are my day off. Thought I'd take the tree down, I thought wrong. Mom took me to Meijer's to shop. God I miss Meijer's. Mother in law takes me to Martin's every Friday morning, everything is like a buck more there. Seems like half a cart of groceries is $130 at Martin's. The girl who works nights where I work is on her way out. Boss is saying things that would indicate that. She uses her kids and not having a car as excuses not to work weekends, which usually don't fly in this type of job, but they were desperate when they hired her. Now she's having a hard time not coming in at all, saying she's on her way and ends up not showing up. I was stuck at work last night until 1:30am. When shit like that happens and I have the day off the next day, I don't answer the phone! Oh HAIL no, I'm not coming in on my day off.
Husband and I spent New Year's alone together, mostly because of his probation guidelines and tether. Wow. First New Year's EVER both sober, neither one of us was taking a pee during the final countdown. A nice little added touch, there were fireworks by the house. This was the start of our own tradition.
My dad went to Florida, my mom stayed home to help me take care of my dog while I go to work. That was her excuse, anyway. I guess he treated her a little nasty and belittled her in front of other people last year, so she had no intentions of going, regardless if I needed help with my dog or not. It's like a little vacation for her as well. We are going to go to lunch every place he hates to go.
