No more flattery
Two nights ago one of the contractors bought me dinner from the chicken place next door. The same night another regular brought me a shake from Dairy Queen. Last night was the last day for the contractors, they went out to celebrate and brought me back a steak and baked potato. Now today they are gone. Things won't be the same. Before I knew if I ever needed help or I was in trouble I could call
any one of those dudes. Now it's just another job with creepy people coming and
going.
I had a second interview, and it went very well. Then Human Resources called me to let me know the lady I interviewed with was very happy with the interviews, but they filled the job internally. Crap.
Leaves are falling here like crazy, the grass is covered. More light is coming into the house. Things are not so bad here. Regardless that I'm still at this crappy job with no end in sight, somehow things are really starting to look up.

Sorry that you didn't get the job, Jenny! :(
And I haven't forgot about you, I'll bring Avery by real soon. It's just been so crazy around here lately. I wish I could have a day to just slow down and enjoy life. *sigh*
